Paul Reece

On the 20th March 2009, we had a Remembrance Service for Paul Reece - who was killed 30 years ago while on active duty in NI.
Paul's Family were there, some ex cadets that knew him, and a number of ex-cadets that only knew the Name (But still fealt a connection)

Following the displays - a Guard Display by the Cadets and an unrehearsed Ex-cadet Band display - there was the traditional reunion in the Mess

1985 Drill Champions

From Cadets

For years Crewe were the Best at Drill, in the District at least. We also knew we could beat the likes of Fleetwood and Holyhead at the annual Area competition at Bury.
To get the "Sore Loser" bit out of the way - Fleetwood and Holyhead were units with a bit more money, which meant They had the best uniforms. My uniform was more like 20 years old, "Hand me down".
We knew we had to come up with something special, in 1985 we did it.
Guard Commander was Ian Hassall - since then he's gone up through the ranks in the Royal Navy and last time I saw him he was LT Commander.
